NAF's decision to support the Alliance

Prabhadevi, 26th (Correspondent): As the government completely ignored the pending demands and problems of the fishermen during the year, it was decided in the Maharashtra executive meeting of NAF, that the governing council members of NAF will support the Alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Maharashtra executive organization meeting of National Association of Fishermen was recently held at Rashtriya Mill Mazdoor Sangh in Bhoiwada. National President of NAF Gajendra Bhanji said that the decision was taken at that time.
National Association of Fishermen Vice President Vijay Worlikar, Maharashtra President Nandkumar Shivdikar, Vice President Neil Shivdikar, Maharashtra Executive Member Rajhans Tapke etc. were also present.
For five years, the central government ignored the problem faced by the Koli community. Bhanji said that due to the coastal road project in the city of Mumbai, the business of the Koli community, whose livelihood is based on fishing, is being destroyed. Worlikar of NAF said that the Koli community has become lonely and isolated.
आघाडीला पाठिंबा देण्याचा नॅफ'चा निर्णय

प्रभादेवी, ता. २६ (बातमीदार) :वर्षाच्या कालावधीत मच्छीमारांच्याप्रलंबित मागण्या व समस्यांकडेसरकारने पूर्णतः दुर्लक्ष केल्यामुळेयेत्या लोकसभा निवडणुकीत 'नॅफ'चेगव्हर्निंग कौन्सिल मेंबर्स आघाडीलापाठिंबा देणार असल्याचा निर्णयनॅफच्या महाराष्ट्र कार्यकारिणी बैठकीतघेण्यात आला. नॅशनळ असोसिएशनऑफ फिशरमन महाराष्ट्र कार्यकारिणीसंघटनेची बैठक भोईवाड्यातीलराष्ट्रीय मिळ मजदूर संघात नुकतीचपार पडली. त्या वेळी निर्णय घेण्यातआल्याचे नॅफचे राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष डॉ.गजेंद्र भानजी यांनी सांगितले.
'नॅशनळ असोसिएशन ऑफफिशरमन'चे उपाध्यक्ष बिजयवरळीकर, महाराष्ट्र अध्यक्ष नंदकुमारशिवडीकर, उपाध्यक्ष नील शिवडीकर,राजहंस टपके, महाराष्ट्र कार्यकारिणीसदस्य आदी उपस्थित होते.
पाच वर्षांच्या कालावधीत कोळीबांधवांना भेडसावणाऱ्या समस्येकडेकेंद्र सरकारने दुर्लक्ष केले. मुंबई शहरातकोस्टल रोड प्रकल्पामुळे मासेमारीवरउदरनिर्वाह करणाऱ्या कोळी समाजाचाव्यवसाय संपुष्टात येत चालला आहे,सागरकिनारा योजनेंतर्गत राबविण्यातयेणाऱ्या प्रकल्पामुळे किनाऱ्यापासून१२ कि.मी.च्या परिघात मासेमारीकरण्यास मनाई करण्यात आली आहे,असे भानजी यांनी सांगितले. कोळीसमाज एकाकी पडला आहे, असेनॅफचे वरळीकर यांनी सांगितले.
