Navi Mumbai, 3rd: If the fishermen's demands are not accepted, the National Koli Federation has warned that they will stop the work of the coastal road being constructed by filling the sea in Mumbai.
Fishermen have demanded that a distance of 2900 meters instead of 60 meters should be kept between the two pillars of the roads while working on the coastal road; But if the administration does not fulfill that demand, the Koli community will not be ready to talk about rehabilitation, compensation etc.
The work of reclamation along the sea road and along the coast in the sea is going on at a fast pace. Meanwhile, Patil met the Koli community to know the difficulties faced by the fishermen. The Koli brothers presented their problems in front of Patil. Due to the road construction, the access to the sea was blocked for the fishermen. Due to this, the local fishermen had stopped working.
When the Coastal road was announced, at that time Fadnavis was in power. A 30 meter access road was indicated from Worli, we raised this matter in the assembly and made it 60 meters wide on the request of the fishermen. However, he pointed out that the channel needs to be made 200 meters in view of the strong tidal flow of the sea.
'Proposal to Govt.'
Chahal assured the delegation that the route for the fishermen from Worli on the coastal road is 67 meters, but to make it 200 meters as per the demand of the fishermen, the proposal should be approved by the JSNA and for this, they will send this proposal to the government.

नवी मुंबई, ता. ३ : मच्छीमारांच्यामागण्या मान्य न केल्यास मुंबईच्यासमुद्रात भराव टाकून तयार करण्यातयेणाऱ्या किनारा मार्गाचे काम बंदपाडू, असा इशारा राष्ट्रीय कोळीमहासंघाने दिला आहे.
किनारा मार्गाचे काम करतानारस्त्यांच्या दोन आधारस्तंभांमध्ये६० मीटर ऐवजी २९०० मीटर अंतरठेवावे, अशी मागणी मच्छोमारांनीकेली आहे; परंतु प्रशासनाने तीमागणी पूर्ण न केल्यास पुनर्वसन,भरपाई आदी मुद्यांवर कोळी समाजबोलण्यास तयार होणार नाही, असेकोळी महासंघाचे राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्षरमेश पाटील यांनी मुंबई पालिकाआयुक्‍त इक्बालसिंह चहल यांनाकळवले आहे.
सागरी रस्त्यासांठी व समुद्रातकिनारपट्टीलगत भराव टाकण्याचेकाम वेगात सुरू आहे. या दरम्यान,मच्छीमारांना येत असणाऱ्या अडचणीजाणून घेण्यासाठी पाटील यांनीकोळी समाजाची भेट घेतली. त्यातकोळी बांधवांनी पाटील यांच्यासमोरसमस्या मांडल्या. रस्ते बांधकामामुळेमच्छीमारांना समुद्रात जाण्याचा मार्गबंद झाला होता. त्यामुळे स्थानिकमच्छीमारांनी काम बंद केले होते.
किनारा मार्गाची , घोषणा झाली.त्यावेळी फडणवीस सरकार होते.वरळी येथून ३० मीटरचा प्रवेशमार्गदाखविण्यात आला होता, आपणमच्छीमारांच्या सांगण्यावरूनसभागृहात आवाज उठवून तो मार्ग६० मीटर रुंदीचा केला होता. मात्र,समुद्राला असणारे भरती ओहोटीचेबेगवान प्रवाह लक्षात घेता, तोमार्ग२०० मीटर करण्याची आवश्यकताअसल्याचे त्यांनी निदर्शनास आणले.
' प्रस्ताव शासनाकडे '
कोस्टलं रोड वरील वरळी येथील मासेंमारांना ये-आ करण्याचा मार्ग ६७मीटरचा आहे, मात्र तो मच्छीमारांच्या मागणीप्रमाणे २०० मीटर करण्यासाठीतज्ज्ञांचा सल्ला घेण्याबरोबर या प्रस्तावाला झासंनाने मान्यता द्यावी लागेळआणि त्यासाठी हा प्रस्ताव शासनाकडे आपणं पाठविणार अंसल्याचेआश्वासन चंहल यांनी शिष्टमंडळाला दिले.
