Relief for those who lost their jobs due to the coastal road

Mumbai, 7th: Fishermen who lost their daily jobs due to coastal road project in Mumbai are likely to get compensation soon. Many fishermen who lost their jobs in Worli due to the coastal road project had also demanded compensation from the municipality. The municipality has taken notice of this. The municipal sources said that the compensation formula will be decided soon and the compensation will be distributed.
Under the Mumbai Coastal Road project, 800 to 1000 local fishermen had demanded compensation from the municipality for the project. Then The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was appointed for an assessment of the loss of employment during the project period. Two meetings were held between TISS, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation and the Fishermen's Association to examine the compensation, in which a preliminary-discussed amount was agreed upon.
However, the final result regarding how much job loss happened, and compensation for the employment of the fishermen due to the work of the coastal road project has not yet been declared, but a report is expected to be prepared soon, according to which the compensation will be determined. The municipal official informed that this compensation will be distributed soon.
…Compensation later delayed
Fishermen will get compensation for losses during the period from the commencement of the Coast Road project to the completion of the project. The fishermen community had requested the municipality to compensate 800 to 1000 fishermen. This includes fishermen who carry boats and also who fish by hand-installed nets. This financial compensation will be withdrawn once the boats start operating regularly after the completion of the project, said a municipal official.

मुंबई, ता, ७ : मुंबईतील कोस्टलरोड प्रकल्पामुळे दैनंदिन रोजगारबुडणाऱ्या मच्छीमारांना लवकरचनुकसान भरपाई मिळण्याची शक्‍यताआहे. कोस्टल रोड प्रकल्पामुळेवरळी येथील रोजगार बुडणाऱ्याअनेक मच्छीमारांनी पालिकेकडूनहीनुकसान भरपाई मिळावी, अशीमागणी केली होती. याची दखलपालिकेने घेतली आहे. लवकरचभरपाईबाबतचे सूत्र निश्चितहोऊन नुकसान भरपाई वितरितकरण्यात येणार असल्याचे पालिकासूत्रांनी सांगितले,
मुंबई कोस्टल रोड प्रकल्पांतर्गतस्थानिक ८०० ते एक हजारमच्छीमारांनी पालिकेकडेप्रकल्पापोटी नुकसान भरपाई मिळावीम्हणून मागणी केली होती. त्यानंतरया प्रकल्पाच्या कालावधीत होणाऱ्यारोजगाराच्या नुकसानाची चाचपणी
करण्यासाठी टाटा सामाजिक विज्ञानसंस्थेचीही (टीआयएसएस) नेमणूककरण्यात आली होती, टीआयएसएस,मुंबई महापालिका आणि मच्छीमारसंघटना यांच्यामध्ये नुकसानभरपाईची चाचपणी करण्यासाठी दोनबैठका झाल्या, त्यामध्ये प्राथमिक-चर्चेनुसार रक्‍कम देण्यावर सहमतझाल्याचे कळते.
कोस्टल रोड प्रकल्पाच्याकामामुळे मच्छीमारांचा किती रोजगार, बुडाला, रोजगारासाठी नुकसानभरपाई किती झाली याबाबतचाअंतिम निकाल मात्र आलेला नाही,लवकरच याबाबतचा अहवालतयार होणे अपेक्षित आहे, त्यानुसारच- मोबदला निश्चित होणार आहे.लबकरच हा मोबदला वितरितकरण्यात येईल, अशी माहितीपालिकेच्या अधिकाऱ्याने दिली.
...नंतर भरपार्ड स्थगित
कोस्टऴ रोड प्रकल्प सुरूझाल्यापासून ते प्रकल्प पूर्ण*होण्याच्या कालावधीतील नुकसान .भरपाई मच्छीमारांना मिळणार आहे. .मच्छीमार बांधवांनी पालिकेकडे८०० ते एक हजार मच्छीमारांनीनुकसान भरपाईची विनंती केलीहोती. बोटी नेऊन, तसेच हातानेजाळे ठाकून मासेमारी करणाऱ्यामच्छीमारांचा यामध्ये समावेश .आहे. प्रकल्प पूर्ण झाल्यानंतरनियमितपणे बोटी सुरू झाल्यानंतरही आर्थिक नुकसानक्ररपाई देणेस्थगित होईल, असे पालिकेच्याएका अधिकाऱ्याने सांगितले.
