Life expectancy is increasing. Senior citizen means any man or woman who has completed 60 years. In the society, there is migration from city to other place. Hence, along with the increasing rate of migration, the nuclear family system is on the decline. Zore: Family, Chho to stay | Due to inflation, family problems are also increasing and its indirect effect is on the nutrition of senior citizens. As senior citizens are an important part of the society, the living conditions of the senior citizens should be tolerable, health facilities should be available, the society and their children should be aware of the responsibility of their upbringing and the rights of the senior citizens. ; The Act, 2007 has been passed for the welfare of senior citizens. The said Act has been implemented in Maharashtra Ranjut from March 1, 2009. (Notification dated 31.March 2001).1) Under this Act, provision is made for the living expenses of Jyent citizens to be paid by their children.

आयुर्मानात वाढ होत आहे. ज्येष्ठ नागरिक-याचा अर्थ ६० वर्ष पूर्ण केलेला कोणताही पुरुष अथवा स्त्री असा होतो. समाजामध्येशहुरातून दुसऱ्या रहयकेडे कुडे स्थलांतरित होत आहे. त्यामुळे स्थलांतराच्या वाढत्या प्रमाणाबरोबरच विभक्त कुटुंब पंद्धती रुद होत आहे. झोरे:कुटुंब, राहण्यासाठी छो |महागाई, यामुळेसुद्धा कौटुंबिक समस्या वाढत असून त्याचा अप्रत्यक्ष परिणाम ज्येष्ठ नागरिकांच्या पोषण व. आरोग्यावर होत आहे, ज्येष्ठनागरिक हा समाजाचा महत्त्वपूर्ण घटक असल्याने, ज्येष्ठं नागरिकांचे-राहणीमांन सुसह्य व्हावे, आरोग्याच्या सोयी सुविधा:ठपलब्ध व्हाव्यात,त्यांच्या पालनपोषणाची जबाबदारी व॒ ज्येष्ठ नागरिकांचे अधिकार यांची जाणीव समाजाला आणि त्यांच्या पाल्यांना व्हावी, म्हणून केंद्र शासनानेज्येष्ठ नागरिकांच्या कल्याणासाठी आई-वडील; ज्येष्ठ नागरिकांच्या चरितार्थ ज्र कल्याणासाठी अधिनियम, २००७ पारित केला आहे. सदरचाअधिनियम महाराष्ट्र रांज्यूत दिनांक १ मार्च, २००९ पासून लागू करण्यांत आला आहे. (अधिसूचना दिनांक ३१.मार्च २००१).
१) या कायंद्याकेंतर्गत ज्यें्ट नागरिकांना त्यांच्या पाल्यांकडून निर्वाह खर्च देण्याची तरतूद आहे.
२) कायद्याचे'कंलम २ प्रमाणे * 'पाल्य'!, म्हणजे ज्येष्ठ नागरिक यांचे र्क्‍तसंबंधातील मुले/मुली, यामध्ये मुळगा, मुलगी, नातू,
नात यांचा समावेश आहे. र .३) ज्यांचे वय ६० वर्षे किंवा त्यापेक्षा जास्त आहे, अशा स्त्री/पुरुष व्यक्तींना ज्येष्ठ नागरिक' म्हणून संबोधण्यात येते.
शकत नाहीत, अशा व्यक्तींना चरितार्थासांठी कॅलम-५, प्रमाण परिपोषणासाठी/निर्वाहभत्त्यासाठी संबंधित जिल्ह्याचे सहाय्यक. आयुक्त; समाजकल्याण, यांच्याकडे अथवा संबंधित जिल्ह्यातील विभागाचे. उपविभागीय अधिकारी (महसूल) तथा अध्यक्ष' ज्येष्ठ नागरिक न्यायाधिकरण यांच्याकडे अर्ज दाखल करता येईल. त -८५) या कायद्यांतील कलम ७ प्रमाणे परिपोषण/ निर्वाहभत्त्यासंदर्भात प्राप्त झालेल्या तक्रारींवर कार्यवाही करण्यासाठी प्रत्येक. जिल्ह्याच्या देपविभागासाठी ''न्यायाधिकरण'"गठीत करण्या आलेआहे.७) कायद्यातील कलम ८ प्रमाणे प्राप्त झालेल्या अर्जावर. 'ज्येष्ठ नागरिक न्यायाधिकरणावडे' सुनावणी घेऊन त्याबाबत निर्णयघेण्यात येतो... |८) सदर काद्वद्याचे कम ९ प्रमाणे न्यायाधिकरणास योग्य बारेळ, असे आदेश पारित करून चरितार्थांची रक्‍कम निश्‍चित करण्यात येते९) कलम ९(२३ प्रमाणे पाल्यांकडून मिळणारी चरितार्थाची रक्‍कम ही रुपये १०,०००/- पेक्षा जास्त असणार नाही.१०) अधिनियमातील कलम १२ प्रमाणे न्यायाधिकरणाच्या आदेशाविरुद्ध, संबंधिताना अपील दाखल करता येते, संबंधित जिल्ह्याचे. 'जिल्हादंडाधिकारी', हे 'अपरिलीय प्राधिकागी' असतील
ग्राधिकरणांकडे'! अपील दाखल करता येईल. 1 3१२) या कायद्याच्या कलम १८१) प्रमाणे संबंधित जिल्ह्याचे सहाय्यक आयुक्त, ममाज कल्याण यांना पदसिद्ध "निर्वाह.अधिव्हारी' स्हणून घोषित करण्यात आलेळे आहे. र वि ,: -३) या कायद्यांच्या -अंमलंबंजावणीसाठी शासनाने दिनांक क २०१० च्या. अधिसूचनेद्वारे नियम पारित केलेले आहेत. याकायद्यांतर्गत दाखल होणाऱ्या प्रकरणांवर अधिनियम व तियमांतरोळे तरतुदीनुसार कार्यवाही करण्यात येते. *१४) या कायद्याअंतर्गत पालकांचा सांभाळ न करणाऱ्या पाल्यांना ३ महिन्यांपर्यंत नुरंगवास/ अथवा रु. ५,०००/- पर्यंतचा दंड
. अथवा दोनही शिक्षांची तरतूद करण्यात आली आहे. ...: १५) या कायद्यांतर्गत घडणास गुन्हा हा दखलपात्र व जामीनपात्र आहे.

जागा इत्यादी कारणामुळे ज्येष्ठ नागरिकांच्या समस्यांमध्ये वाढ होत आहे. आर्थिक दुर्नलंता, कर्मी वेतन, वाढती. |
४) कायद्याचे कलम ४(१) प्रमाणे जे ज्येष्ठ नागरिक हे स्वतःच्या उत्पन्नामधुन अथवा त्यांच्या मालमंत्तेमधून स्वतःचा चरितार्थ चालवू |
२१) ज्येष्ठ नागरिकांचे न्यायाधिकरणाच्या आदेशाबाबत समाधान न झाल्यास कायद्याचे कळम १६९१) प्रमाणे *'अपिलीय |
