Coastal Road till Vasai-Virar ?
163 objections and suggestions; Extension till 27th August

Mumbai, 27th : Rehabilitate the affected and then build the coastal road, don't leave us high and dry, take this route up to Vasai-Virar, the affected citizens reported these suggestions and objections. Municipal sources informed that 163 objections and suggestions have been received till the last day of the deadline regarding Coastal Road. Now this deadline has been extended till August 27. The hearing will be held after receiving the suggestions and objections during this period, informed the municipal sources.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had strongly opposed the development plan for the first time by saying 'To hell with this development plan'. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had announced that the scheme has been cancelled. Then strong protests were raised. But the then commissioner of the municipality, Sitaram Kunte, said that the development plan had not been cancelled but amended instead, and he got into trouble. So the administration extended the controversial development plan by a month and put an end to the controversy. That extension expired on Monday.
Some citizens have welcomed this coastal road. Some citizens believe that if this project is completed, the pressure on traffic in Mumbai will be reduced. The Koli community has opposed the project. Koli community organizations fear that if this road is created by filling the sea, it will have an adverse effect on fishing. Some local citizens have suggested that communities on the sea side should not be disturbed. If this road is coming up to Dahisar, then extend it to Vasai-Virar, so it will be useful for them, say people from Vasai-Virar who commute to Mumbai regularly for work. They say, properly rehabilitate residents affected by this route first, don't leave them high and dry. Give concrete assurance of rehabilitation, then build the coastal road. They raised the rehabilitation issue, effectively laid out through instructions and 7 points of concern.

मुंबई, ता. २७ : बाधितांचे पुनर्वसनकरून मगच कोस्टल रोड बांधाआम्हाला वाऱ्यावर सोडू नका. हा मार्गवसई-विरारपर्यंत पुढे न्या, अशा सूचनाआणि हरकती यामुळे बाधित होणाऱ्यानागरिकांनी नोंदवल्या. कोस्टलरोडबाबत शेवटच्या दिवसापर्यंत१६३ हरकती आणि सूचना आल्याचीमाहिती महापालिकेच्या सूत्रांनी दिली.आता ही मुदत २७ ऑगस्टपर्यंतवाढवण्यात आली आहे.या काळातीलसूचना आणि हरकती आल्यावरसुनावणी होईल, अशौ माहितीपालिकेच्या सूत्रांनी दिली.
शिवसेना पक्षप्रमुख उद्धव ठाकरेयांनी 'हा विकास आराखडा चुलीतघाला' असे त्रिथान करून विकासआराखड्याला पहिल्यांदा कडाडूनविरोध केला होता. मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्रफडणवीस यांनी आराखडा रद्दकरण्य़ात आल्याची घोषणा केलीहोती. त्यानंतर आराखड्याच्या.
बिरोधात- रान उठवण्यात आले; मात्रपालिकेचे तत्कालीन आयुक्‍त सीतारामकुंटे यांनी विकास आराखडा रद्द झालानसून त्यात सुधारणा केल्या जातील,असे वक्‍तव्य केले आणि ते स्वतःचअडचणीत आले. त्यामुळे वादाच्याभोवऱ्यात सापडलेल्या विकासआराखड्याला प्रशासनाने आणखीएक महिन्याची मुदतवाढ दिली आणिवादावर पडदा पाडला. ती मुदतंवाढसोमवारी संपली.
काही नागरिकांनी या कोस्टलरोडचे स्वागत केळे आहे. हा प्रकल्पपूर्ण झाल्यास मुंबईतील वाहतुकीवरीलताण कमी होईल, असा विश्‍वासकाही नागरिकांनी. व्यक्त केंला आहे.कोळी समाजाने या प्रकल्पाला विरोधदर्शवला आहे. समुद्रात भराव घालून'हा मार्ग तयार झाल्यास मासेमारीवरत्याचा विपरीत परिणाम होईल, अशीभीती कोळी समाजाच्या संघटनांनी'हरकतीच्या मुझ्याद्वारे व्यक्त केलीआहे. समुद्राच्या बाजूला असलेल्यासोसायट्यांना त्रास होऊ नये, अशी :सूचना काही स्थानिक नागरिकांनीकेली आहे. दहिसरपर्यंत हा रस्तायेत असेल, तर पुढे 'वसई-विरारपर्यंतवाढवा, त्यामुळे आम्हाला त्याचाउपयोग होईल, अशा सूचना नोकरी-व्यवसायानिमित्त मुंबईत येणाऱ्या -वसई-विरारमधीळ. नोकरंदारांनीकेल्या आहेत. या मार्गामुळे बाधितहोणाऱ्या रहिवाशांचे आधी योग्यपुंनर्बसन करा, आम्हाला वाऱ्यावर ,सोडू नका. पुनर्वसनाचे ठोस आश्‍वासनद्या, मगच कोस्टल रोड बांधा, अशी .मागणी करून पुनर्वसनाचा मुद्दा त्यांनी ।प्रभावीपणे सूचना आणि ₹ 7मुद्द्यांद्वारे मांडला आहे.
